The Decibel Festival 2012 Conference, packed with world-renowned artists and producers, giants from gaming and lighting, live demonstrations, and a maybe even a few heated debates, has been announced – September 26th to 28th at Broadway Performance Center in Seattle, Washington. The Decibel Festival 2012 Lineup was announced last month.

Starting Monday, September 10th, 6-8 panels per day will be announced, highlighting speakers and topics. Each giving a small overview on why the sessions were chosen, what will they will cover, and who will be present. In all, the three days feature nearly 40 panels, demonstrations, oxford debates, workshops and one-on-one “fireside chats”.

Decibel Festival 2012 continues its partnership with Dubspot – the premier music school for experienced and aspiring artists alike. This gives dB 2012 the ability to showcase most of the leading music production platforms, taught by established electronic music experts.

New this year, the Decibel Festival Conference 2012 has expanded to include the field of music in electronic games. Kim Swift, developer of genre-defining titles like Portal and Quantum Conundrum, has been hard at work on Decibel Conference’s music-in-games content. In this exciting lineup, she’ll take you behind the scenes of game production, scoring, and the unique quirks of the gaming industry.

Decibel Festival 2012 Boat Parties

This year the infamous Decibel Festival 2012 Boat Parties will be expanding from two to four days. In addition, this year’s boat parties will offer a wider variety of musical styles including house, techno, grime, soul, funk and hip hop. These feel-good afternoon cruises take place on scenic Lake Washington and Lake Union. Space for the Decibel Festival Boat Parties are extremely limited and entrance is not included in the Decibel Pass.
